Born and raised in the bay, ventured to LA for 6 years for school and work (UCLA, go Bruins!), and now i’m back in the San Francisco Bay Area. Recently came back from France from a 2.5 month visit in the Cote d’Azur to learn French and explore the region, and it was tres fantastique!

The beats in the head put the step in my walk. Music is my passion. My dream is to one day work for a company like Soundcloud, Spotify, or Resident Advisor. 

I love to discover new music, and sharing it with other music lovers brings me joy. if you have any must have suggestions, feel free to message me! I absolutely love getting new music from wherever i can get my hands on it.

I have a newfound passion for listening to my music on vinyl and collecting them. There is something to be said about having a physical piece of music; I feel like it is a lost art that should be continued. That being said, I collect my favorite albums and singles via vinyl, and most of the time it comes with a digital copy anyways! Besides, how cool is it to have actual cover art?

The Blog.. what is LimZen?

It’s a rough work in progress. ‘Lim’ = My last name, and I am interested in things relating to Buddhism, hence the word ‘Zen’. I try to share songs that are my favorites… the songs that you’ll want to listen to a couple times through before being completely satisfied. I have an eclectic and diverse musical taste, and this blog will try to highlight my favorite tracks in all different genres: classic rock, old school hip-hop, house, deep house, dubstep, drum and bass, indie rock, minimal, tech house… you get the picture.

The main musical focus of my blog is electronica and indie rock, but i will definitely throw tracks from the entire spectrum (minus country, sorry country lovers.) Examples of who I artists who I cover: Frederic Chopin, Royksopp, Azari and III, Maya Jane Coles, Star Slinger, Disclosure, Shigeto, Bonobo, etc.
