Dan Snaith, aka Caribou makes some absolutely beautiful, dark and danceable electronica as evident by his 2010 album Swim, with the powerful dancefloor destructor “Odessa.” The lyrics describe a failed relationship and while the whole tone of the song is very moody, it is oh-so-dancefloor ready. Amine Edge & Dance - Going to Heaven with the Goodie-Goodies
A banging deep house track from mid-2012, which samples Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hold Ya Head” / “Suicidal Thoughts.” First heard this tune on David August’s live at Sankey’s Ibiza opening set, and then I heard this tune dropped at a club over the weekend and had to tear it up on the dancefloor. One of my favorites of the year.

Hudson Mohawke - Cbat [download]
Hudson Mohawke, aka Hudson Mo or HudMo is a DJ from Glasgow, Scotland who drops some funky, electronic and hip hop beats. “Cbat” is a song that I have recently been hearing EVERYWHERE at various different shows… I’ve heard this song a zillion times but couldn’t figure out what the song was called, but SBTRKT’s latest Essential Mix had it as one of the first tracks, so voila! I’ve heard FlyLo drop it in his set, and I’ve heard it at many other triphop and dubstep shows. The song is a perfect break during a really hard set, because it is slow enough to take a break from raging, but the beat drops so nasty that the entire crowd gets down and grooves slowly. Get down!

Azari and III - Into the Night [download]
Azari and III’s eponymous LP is their first yet, and it clearly shows that this Canadian dance quartet is here to stay. Azari & III bring the nu-disco back in 2011, and their fresh and futuristic sounds makes the dancefloor groove. This is the sort of music that will keep your dancing into the night, and through the early morning.
They have been remixed by the likes of Tensnake, Nicolas Jaar, and many other awesome up and coming musicians. I haven’t posted an album in a while so today I’m going to give you guys their amazing, self-titled LP. Enjoy.
