Cities of Foam - Girls in Bars [download]
I wrote about Cities of Foam a few weeks ago, and I wanted to share another one of my favorites tracks off their album, A Great Day for the Race. “Girls in Bars” is an upbeat and jazzy electronic track with a heady groove. Mildly psychedelic and very catchy.
More Cities of Foam here.
Physics - Holding On ft. Daisy (Karol XVII & MB Valence Remix) [download]

Today’s deep house brought to you by Physics, Karol XVII, and MB Valence. Don’t really know much about any of them, but I think this song hits the spot in terms of deep house vibes. Super chill and lounge-y, with the sexy and smokey vocals that draw you in right before dropping the beat again.
James Blake - Limit to Your Love (NPR World Cafe version) [download]

This new live album by James Blake is truly wonderful. I’m a huge fan of his music already, but these live versions of his tracks are truly special. For example, this NPR version of “Limit to Your Love” has a sweet drum improvisation / breakdown section, which is quite cool. On a lot of the tracks, you can hear a more raw sound of his voice, and “Unluck,” “The Wilhelm Scream,” and “Lindesfarne” really shine on these live versions. If you haven’t downloaded the album yet, I highly suggest you do so! I reuploaded it below, see my previous post because I think he took the free download off of his Tumblr. It has a bunch of songs that weren’t on his eponymous LP, too:
08. Anti-War Dub (Live) 09. Klavierwerke (Live) 10. CMYK (Live) 11. Once We All Agree (Live) 12. A Case Of You (Live) 13. Enough Thunder (Live) 14. Love What Happened Here (Live) 15. Tep And The Logic (Live)
Cities of Foam - Last Man Standing [download]

Found this band on my iPod the other day. I had totally forgotten about them until it randomly came up. These guys are super mellow, I highly recommend you download the album for whenever you feel like chilling out and listening to some cool, ambient, jazzy tunes.

Daedelus - Order of the Golden Dawn [download]
Some beautiful, soulful, and lounge-y music for you by LA Beats Extraordinaire, Daedelus. Not sure what to classify this genre, but it is truly a pleasure to listen to.
Solid Steel Radio Show- 23/9/2011 Part 3 + 4: Nightmares on Wax + Interview w/Kid Koala
I’m feeling kind of jazzy this morning, especially with that swanky, lounged-out feel of Nicolas Jaar’s music. (If you didn’t give the last track a listen, you may get an idea of where I found it ;-)
Nightmares on Wax throw down a really jazzy, upbeat set on my favorite label, Ninja Tune (Bonobo, Amon Tobin…etc). Part 4 includes an interview with Kid Koala. Do it live.
Nicolas Jaar- Wouh [download]
today’s chilled out morning track brought to you by Nicolas Jaar

The American-Chilean musician, Nicolas Jaar is truly magnificent. His smooth, jazzy blend of piano and electronica sets him apart from your run of the mill electronic act. His debut album, Space is Only Noise is absolutely amazing. I will be posting some tracks off his album later. But for now, enjoy the song “Wouh.” It has a very distinctive beat with a very clean sounding bass, along with the usual Nico Jaar piano riff.

A stroke of genius from the musical virtuoso, James Blake. This man is truly gifted musically. His voice, his ability on the piano, and his post-dubstep rhythm makes him one of the finest artists alive today.
