Tomas Barfod - Till We Die (Blond:ish Remix)

Massive remix of Tomas Barfod’s summer tune “Till We Die” by Get Physical’s sexy UK-based duo Blond:ish. I wrote about Tomas Barfod last year, and then later discovered Blond:ish, so imagine how pumped I was to find this amazing remix by two extremely talented producers.
Blond:ish takes the original in a new completely new and intricate journey, with hypnotic riffs, mesmerizing basslines, and a chillingly smooth inlay of Nina Kinert’s vocals. Blond:ish’s talent is unique, provocative and genre-defying, and this remix is a clear example of their beautiful sound.
progressive dubstep? prog-step? is this a start of a new trend?

Emalkay - Space Hopper [download]
So as you can probably tell I’m listening to Emalkay in my headphones right now. His album, Eclipse (2011) is absolute fire. If you don’t have it or haven’t listened to it, I highly recommend you go out and get it (or download it… *if people really enjoy it I might just post it). Some top notch dubstep and a taste of drum and bass as well.
Space Hopper intrigued me from the get go, because its not your run of the mill dubstep track… it is far more progressive. Again, it is heavy but clean, and there are breaks of pure synth and harmony, which I can safely say is unheard of in this genre. That’s why I think that Emalkay has ventured into a new realm of more progressive dubstep. Not in your face the whole time, but with adequate breaks in between to give you a chance to breathe a little bit before raging on. Rage on.
